This is a lovely villa set high above the marina in Praiano. We loved the small village feel of staying here. No need for a car everything is walkable. The local contact, Pepe, gave us super recommendations for dinner, One Fire beach and a Capri cruise. He was always there to make sure everything was going as planned.

Villa Adalgisa was the perfect rental for our family of 6 - 3 teenagers, 2 parents and a grandparent. The views from the villa in every direction are spectacular. We spend hours watching the marina and the moon over the sea. Praiano is quiet and relaxing. Outings to Positano and Amalfi were easy. A boat trip from La Praia to Capri was tremendous. Giuseppe, who handled the rental in Praiano, was very helpful.

Villa Adalgisa is in a magic location, sitting up high over Marina Di Praia. There are great views from every room. The terrace is a beautiful place to sit and have breakfast and look out across to the water. It is very private, spacious inside and well kept. The key holder was very helpful and even assisted us with our bags.

The villa was everything it was expected to be, very spacious and very private. The bedrooms were quite roomy and each overlooked a different part of the Tyrrhenian Sea with breath taking views and sunrises. Upon entry to the villa you have your kitchen, dining area and dining room on the first floor along with a bathroom with standing shower. You then proceed to the 2nd floor where you have your 1st bedroom with private bath with shower. This bedroom overlooks a beautiful rock tower that is now used as a studio for an artist. Along a smaller flight of stairs is your 2nd bedroom that has a beautiful panoramic view of all sides of the villa, with a balcony in front and a smaller balcony overlooking the Patio down below. This bedroom shares a bath with the 3rd bedroom directly adjacent. The bath was clean but does have a tub that is very narrow. There is a bigger bath downstairs on main floor with a stand up shower that is quite roomy although lacks décor. One of the larger bedrooms depicted on the site is not a bedroom in that villa but is part of the apartment that is downstairs or across the patio. The villa is in definite need of TLC and a good coat of paint which is a shame because it is a great location. The stairs to and from the road are not bad at all considering there are four flights. There is a wonderful view from the villa from high above that is absolutely breathtaking without a doubt. Being that high up on the cliffs means that you will hear the traffic down below during the day. That main road below is the only road catering to tour buses, scooters and car and truck traffic. So, if you plan on sleeping late it tends to get a little noisy but quiets down considerably during the evening and nighttime hours. The patio is very spacious on the main floor and there is an additional patio upstairs that is only reachable through one of the bedrooms so you don’t have free access to it. A small issue arose twice while we were there and we did loose hot water twice while are stay at the villa and cold showers are not pleasant. Although the issue was addressed immediately the next day, we were getting ready to shower and go out to dinner when the problem was discovered. The house man Giuseppe is very nice and quite helpful for questions and arranging things for you while you are there. He arranged our trip to Capri and also arranged one of the restaurants to have all six of us picked up downstairs and then taken back to the villa after our dinner. The walk along the road could be hazardous at night. The kitchen steps out into the patio and has all the utensils one might need to make dinner or breakfast but the pots and pans are past their peak and need to be replaced. There is a roomy refrigerator, but I must warn you that ice is hard to come by unless you get innovative. There is no coffee pot to make coffee unless you boil water and make do with instant. The Wi-Fi inside the building “we” could not access at all and we could only access the Wi-Fi outside on the patio from certain areas of the patio either directly across the antenna or underneath but inside was virtually impossible for our I-Pads and laptop to connect. If you ask me to rate the villa I personally give it a 5.5 to low 6. I will end with this disclosure; I am quite fussy as to where I stay and the conditions of where I am staying. So, if you are not as fussy as I am you will probably rate this villa a 7 or 8 out of 10. Have a great vacation, the food is incredible where ever you go and the locals are eager to provide a great experience. The highlight of the trip was the boat ride to and from Capri and Ravello was breathtaking with its views. Arrivederci my fellow traveler.

Wonderful location but the home needs some remodeling. The air conditioner did not work in living room, ants everywhere.

We recently returned from a 4 night stay at Villa Adalgisa. We enjoyed our stay and Guiseppe ( who handles the property) was really helpful with suggestions on restaurants and boating to Capri. The boat trip was the highlight of our trip to the Amalfi coast. I do feel that although the house is in a beautiful setting, it was lacking some things expected from a vacation rental home. ( like paper towels, toilet paper, new or at least clean shower liners and soap). The house also needs paint touch ups and to have areas of mold, like above the kitchen cabinets, cleaned up.

We had a fantastic time at Villa Adalgisa. We were close to the bus stop to visit Positano, Sorrento or Amalfi, a short stroll from a beautiful little beach la Praia, and a fantastic hillside walk behind the villa that took you up a lengthy staircase and into Praiano village to the supermarket. Restaurants nearby were good, particularly il Pirata right on the water. Beds are comfortable, villa is well appointed and the views are breathtaking. We were sad to leave!!!

This magnificent home was perfect for our family of 6 (2 adults and 4 teens). The villa is very spacious, air conditioned and had an outdoor shower and large balcony for dining and relaxing. The climb was worth it for the spectacular view and the location was perfect. Thanks Natalie Don and fam

The pictures are true to the real experience. This villa is absolutely wonderful. The kitchen was fully stocked with every piece of cookware you could ever want. Staying is Praiano over Positano was so perfect for the quiet get away we were after. I would come back and stay again in a heartbeat. The description does say there is a BBQ which there was not.

Our family of six adults enjoyed our time here very much. So much better than staying in busy, touristy Positano! Praiano town was a good 30 minute walk away, but that was fine. La Praia beach can be seen from the terraces and is only a short walk away. A lovely restaurant there - Armandinos! Villa is quite dated, but comfortable and certainly suited what we needed. Some extra pillows and perhaps written instructions for the oven, dishwasher and washing machine would be helpful. Also the "barbecue" mentioned was old and rusty, so unfortunately we couldn't use it! The shopping experience at the local grocery store is a must - they pick you up and drop you off if you need it. A very lovely stay and we would love to come back!

Villa Adalgis was the most beautiful villa and exeeded all our expectations. The views from the beautiful and plentiful terraces were amazing. The Villa was spotless and complete with everything you would need. Giuseppe was extremely helpful and aided in getting groceries, organizing trips to Capri etc. A most wonderful vacation and we would deifinitely book this villa again! Grazie

We had a wonderful time at the villa. The views are fantastic, local beaches wonderful and the house accomodated our two families (8 people) perfectly. Guiseppe is wonderful and so helpful. We would definitely come back again.

Beautiful home and Giuseppe was a great help with advice and checking all well. A suggestion for the future would be to leave a little in the way of basics e.g. toilet paper, dish and laundry wash detergents, tea, coffee, milk, bread. Other than the above, all was really lovely. Beautiful home in beautiful environment. Thank you!

Pro: Nice, bright, spacious and well equipped villa. The views are stunning. I loved it and would be happy to return there. Con: Parking is very tight and 70 steps. Had some problems with the water but it was fixed for us.
