Situata nella parte alta di Praiano, nel suo centro storico, dal suo terrazzo vista mare esposto a sud si può ammirare al mattino il sorgere del sole.
Si accede dalla strada principale ed è facimente raggiungibile in auto: proprio davanti casa c'è un pargheggio pubblico. L'appartamento e' stato ristrutturato recentemente.
In soli 10 minuti a piedi si raggiunge la spiaggia della Praia, che offre diversi ristoranti tipici, noleggio barche e scuola di sub, e da dove tutti i giorni si può partire per Capri con un battello.
Praiano, nel cuore della costiera amalfitana, dista soli 6Km da positano, 20Km da Sorrento, 9Km da Amalfi e 15Km da Ravello.

"Guiesppe at Cutty Sark was pleasant and extremely helpful.
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the Villa Casa Mare. The website photos of the apartment (Case Mare) were incorrect and misrepresented. The bedroom picture provides a window with a view, which in reality doesn't exist. The bedroom had no window and was divided up with a curtain, which made it very dark.When booking we thought this would be a great room for our guest, who was celebrating her 70th birthday.
The photo of the kitchen is also incorrect, as there was no window under the sink, but in fact under the table, which is actually on the opposite side than the photo. The view from the door gives you the feeling that there is a door that leads to the bedroom, which as I explained doesn't exist. All in all, the photos of Case Mare's apartment is a misrepresentation of what is actually there.
I had booked this apartment for 4 people, where one couple would sleep on the sleep sofa. When we arrived there were only towels and pillows for 3 people. We of course didn't notice this until it was time to go to bed, so nothing could be done until the next day. It just seemed that the apartment wasn't really set up for 4 people - 3 wine glasses and two rolls of toilet paper isn't a set up for 4 people. As mentioned on the Website, we were suppose to receive a Wednesday cleaning, which didn't happen, yet we paid for a final cleaning.
When we arrived home, we sent our complaints to Cutty Sark, who then sent them on to the owner of Casa Mare. We unfortunately, have not heard from them. Cutty Sark did mention that it would be diffiuclt to receive any form of compensation, as the owners have already received their payment. We were hoping to at least get the cleaning fee back, as they didn't clean on Wednesday.
A little note to the wise, the Casa Mare has a beautiful view and a wonderful terrace, but it does not accommodate 4 adults very well."

"hello, we stayed at the casa mare. the apartment was good size for 2 people. the terrace was amazing. Eddy has been wonderful for our assistance and very nice. he knew we avoid the lost time by showing us clearly the areas to visit and restaurants suggested.
we were in the house in early June, very nice time but a little cool. We would have liked to have two more blankets, about power sleep warmer without having to bring warm air into the house and a smaller choice of pillows would have been appreciated. if we had any recommendations to the owner, it would be these: put at our disposal to prevent the spices to make purchases if we have to cook as well as soap dishes
we loved to stay in your casa and thank you so much!!!!!"

"We have enjoyed our stay at Casa Mare. The unforgettable view from the terrace will stay with us for a long time. We loved local restaurants: La Brace, La Strada and Hotel Margherita. Even driving narrow steep roads was fun and walking the stairs up to the house helped losing calories gained from the fantastic food.
We were also lucky to have chosen to stay in Praiano (over Positano and Amalfi - both very crowded and commercial). It is such a lovely town with many wonderful places and friendly people. Also very easy to travel around.
And finally, we would like to thank Tony for helping us and being there when we needed an advice."

"The house is as it was appearing in the web and even better because you have 180 º of amazing sigthseeing to the sea. Negative only one is a mountainous zone and to accede to the beach it is necessary to lower many stairs."

"The Casa Mare apartment is very quaintly furnished and has stunning views from its terrace and pool. It is very remote, though, and if you do not have a car, it is a very difficult and arduous journey down to the town of Praiano where you can dine in restaurants, catch buses or ferries to other locations along the coast, or buy groceries. The journey back up is doubly difficult. You can rent a car, yes, as there is parking in front of Casa Mare, but parking anywhere else along the Amalfi coast is sketchy at best, and extremely expensive. There is satellite TV, but all but one of the stations is in Italian. There was no wireless ADSL, as advertised...just a USB cable for you to plug in a laptop. There was also no midweek cleaning, as advertised. The price charged for this apartment was, in our opinion, far too high. We would not recommend it unless there is a drastic reduction in price and we will not stay there again."
